1. Mrs. Wilson didn’t want to get into the police van because she lost her daughter.
2. The driver was afraid of the engine flooding.
3. The driver tried to calm Mrs. Wilson down by telling her that her daughter is probably in the other van.
4. Tom jumped out of the van to get his boat and find Lucy.
5. He knows Lucy is still in the house because something was moving behind the curtain.
6. I don’t think Tom will be able to rescue Lucy with his boat because the water was already nearly up to his knees.
